Recently, one of our organizer clients took over events from another organizer. While moving everything across (old websites, email accounts, domains), I noticed a few serious issues:

1. The websites run on custom scripts that are very hard to update or fix.

2. The email accounts are filled with spam.

3. Some subdomains are redirecting to completely unrelated websites — probably no one even noticed.

Not really. I’m not blaming anyone — they probably did their best with what they had. But there is a lot of room for improvement if you use the right tools that are made specifically for events. The real problem is usually lack of specialized knowledge in this area.
